Who Am I?
I am Nathan Hudson. I am a native of Atlanta, GA. I am the youngest, having 2 older brothers. I had to work and put myself through school due to losing my father when I was in elementary school and my mom when I was in high school. With my brothers' support, I graduated from Morehouse College and Georgia Tech in their dual degree program, majoring in Math and Electrical Engineering. I am married and hoping to start a family soon. I am blessed to have 3 nephews and 3 nieces who I love very much. I love watching football and basketball. I am a drummer! I was in the percussion section in high school, and I currently play at West Hunter Street Baptist Church.
Unlike patients who have chronic diseases or a family history with severe medical conditions, my kidneys were damaged severely due to a seizure. I ended up in the hospital for a week because the doctors couldn't believe someone my age had experienced something so severe! My journey has been one of blessing! My nephrologist has been proactive in every step of my care. I have been able to manage my numbers to my doctors liking and even though my functionality is still dropping, it has not been a dramatic downfall. I have a strong, loving support system and now I need your help!
Please consider being tested to see if you are a possible match for me!
Thank you in advance!
By sharing my story to your group of family and friends, you help to increase the number of people who may consider kidney donation.

Most donor programs cover medical costs related to surgery and recovery times are often 2–6 weeks.
Kidney transplants come with expenses that insurance doesn’t fully cover—travel to and from the transplant center, lost work time, recovery needs, and ongoing medication.
If you’d like to support me financially, you can contribute through our GoFundMe link.
Every gift, no matter the size, helps lighten the burden on my family and lets us focus on healing.
If you can’t donate a kidney or give financially, you can still make an enormous difference.
Sharing my story helps me reach someone out there who can be a match.
